My name is Clive Powell. I worked for McGraw-Hill Ryerson for 35 years.

I have always been fascinated by the processes involved in the making of a book. I spent 35 years as an editor and production manager at McGraw-Hill Ryerson and while many processes have changed over the decades and the media has became more technically advanced, there is still something I enjoy about the feel, the smell, and the ability to just flip open a book and start reading. And I believe this still holds sway with many people today. It is my goal to convey some of that fascination and enjoyment with you via these pages as we take a look back at some of the hundreds of titles in the Ryerson Archive. Enjoy!

Is there a way to get a copy of the original publications. I would be happy with a digital copy. I am interested in obtaining a readable copy of a cookbook that we own, which is in rough condition.

    • The books in the Ryerson Collection are single, archive copies and, unfortunately, not available for sale. Used books stores, Abe Books or Amazon might have copies available. Good luck with your search. Thanks for checking out my blog.
